The IYTA Diploma of Yoga Teaching (IYTA TTC) is a fully accredited 460-hour course. It is acknowledged and registered internationally with Yoga Alliance in US, and nationally with Yoga Australia. IYTA is represented in 20 countries around the world and has trained over 3,000 teachers. It is one of the most highly respected Yoga Diplomas in the world.
IYTA does not lock students into any one style but ensures that students understand how to teach classical Hatha Yoga fully and safely. The course includes lectures in asana, safety, alignment, anatomy and physiology, philosophy and history of Yoga, pranayama, meditation and specialty areas such as prenatal, seniors and disabilities. IYTA also offers post graduate training in specialty areas once students have gained their Diploma of Yoga Teaching.
Duration and Delivery
The IYTA International Diploma of Yoga Teaching is 460 hours of training over a 12 month period.
Face-to-face Students: view all course material via our online learning system and attend on study weekend per month (February to November, 8.30am - 5.30pm, Saturday and Sunday) in Crows Nest, Sydney.
Distance Education Students (now with *LIVE* streaming): view all course material via our online learning system PLUS the option of viewing the study weekends via live streaming. Stay connected and up-to-date with your studeis in real-time.
Note: Face-to-face AND Distance Education Students will receive copy of all lecture videos two days post study weekend. A six-day Residential is mandatory for all students to attend in person.
