Christine's classes are a blend of her 45 years of experience as a yoga practitioner and her lifelong passion for exploring many styles of yoga and movement. Trained as an Alexander Technique teacher, intergral yoga, Scaravelli inspired, Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga teacher, and MBSR Level 1 teacher, her classes are trauma-informed, supportive, inclusive and can be described as mindful movement.

Using the breath, spine and grounding with any practices can change the experience and bring freedom to the body. Releasing into movement rather than pushing or forcing allows the body to find its own wisdom and way of being.  The simplicity and beauty of yoga to explore the body, change the quality of movement and benefit everyday life is available to anyone.

'Yoga must not be practised to control the body: it is the opposite, it must bring freedom to the body, all the freedom it needs.' – Vanda Scaravelli.

I support the Yoga Australia Statement Case 21: Satyananda Yoga Ashram

Although trained in this tradition I do not teach, practice, or follow any precepts of this tradition. I support survivors and all harmed by this tradition seeking truth, justice and healing.

I support Yoni Shakti: The Movement to Eradicate abuse of women in yoga: reclaim yoga as a tool for planetary healing and justice.

Christine teaches classes in the inner west of Sydney. Check the website for details.
