Yoga is a powerful practice that has the potential to transform lives and even communities. Deni is a strong believer in this philosophy and sees her privilege as a yoga teacher as an opportunity for positive growth for both individuals and communities. She has a Biological Science Degree and has taught yoga in Ashram, Gym and small studio settings. Her teachings are very holistic as she likes to incorporate Pranayama, Meditation, Vedic Philosophy, Ayurveda and Chanting in her practices. With a background of education in both Scientific and Ashramic schools, she draws on the teachings of the East and the West to compliment each other in her classes. She would describe her teachings as Hatha but also incorporates practices from Kundalini, Vini, Yin and Vinyasa Yoga traditions.
Deni is very client focused and encourages people from all walks of life to try yoga as a means of self healing. She is very passionate about helping those affected by mental health challenges of any kind. She will always cater her classes to her students and ensures that they are made to feel secure, comfortable and cared for. Her 3 biggest values are Integrity (living and breathing the philosophies she teaches), Compassion (treating everyone with equality and a compassionate heart) and Health and Wellbeing (always putting the wellbeing of herself, everyone and everything at the forefront - including mother nature).
"I believe that everything we need in this world is already in the palm of our hands. Yoga has personally shown me this through some immense challenges in my own life. I wish to help others, whether it be in a big way or a small way, to find their way on their own path. So that they may live a wholehearted life with a feeling of connection to themselves and to others. To see beauty beyond all boundaries and to be filled with deep compassion and contentment."
