"To relax is not to collapse, but simply to undo tension. This tension has been accumulated in the body and in the mind by years of forceful education...Now we have to work in the opposite direction, by letting go, giving place to a different action"

what people are saying about Lisa Blanch

Jan Stuelcken, Wellness Officer, Can Assist

Over the 15 months Dec 2012 - March 2014 we were very fortunate to have had Lisa Blanch coordinate the Yoga, Meditation and Relaxation program that we have been running at our Cancer Accommodation Centre for Country patients. Lisa has presented a varied and specifically arranged program for our guests to enjoy. Her commitment and enthusiasm has encouraged our patients to become actively involved and obtain an understanding of the important role this activity can play in complementing their cancer treatment. I know that all the patients who have participated have found it truly admirable that Lisa has volunteered her time in coming every week to our centre. Lisa is a generous, compassionate and committed individual. She perfectly fits our ethos at the centre and we have greatly appreciated her involvement and dedication.

Parents, carers and staff here at The Childrens Hospital at Westmead have benefitted from the Therapeutic Yoga classes offered through the Carer Wellness Program and facilitated by Lisa Blanch. Lisas professional clear manner and ability to make Yoga Therapy accessible to any level of student to be practiced in the hospital environment has made this program popular with parents, carers and staff who are experienced Yoga students and people who have never practiced Yoga before. We are very grateful to Lisa for volunteering her time and skills to support people who may be experiencing stressful and exhausting times here at CHW and to promote self-care and wellbeing essential to parents, carers and staff alike.
