Sara weaves together a harmonious embodied style of traditional Hatha yoga, linked with flowing vinyasa to encourage integration of breath awareness, easeful movement and awakening of life force energy.  Woven together with the thread of mindfulness and compassionate curiosity, this is "Mamaku Yoga and Wellness"; nourishment and wellbeing for the mind, body and soul.

The name Mamaku was gifted by the black tree fern native to my homeland Aotearoa/New Zealand.  Mamaku is revered as the 'Master Healer' in traditional Maori medicine (Rongoa Māori), embodying the Divine Mother qualities of nourishment, nurture and regeneration. The shape of the 'Koru' or baby fern frond is spiral, reminiscent of infinity, and symbolic of the universal unfurling and spiraling nature of life itself.

"Mamaku Yoga" offers weekly Sunshine Coast based classes and "Forest Bathing Yoga" which guides students through a flowing asana practice and nature based meditation experience utilising the forest as a therapeutic medium.

"When we touch beneath the busyness of thought, we discover a sweet and healing silence, an inherent peacefulness in each of us, a goodness of heart, strength and wholeness that is our original nature. "
