Practising yoga since 1971
Teaching yoga since 2009
What to expect in class:
Subtle somatic awareness, joyful and curious inquiry, some physical challenge without anything fancy or too far from your reality, modifications to make yoga right for you, meditation and inner stillness, energy body work.
Tina's journey and influences:
Tina began her yoga practice in 1971, and though the path has not been one glorious continuum, she has been supported by yoga and meditation ever since. She graduated from her first teacher training in 2009 and has taught consistently from that time.
Ongoing studies and influences have been with Donna Farhi, and Richard Miller and members of the senior training faculty of iRest® . Tina became a Certified iRest teacher in 2016. She has also pursued somatic studies, and did Somatic movement coach training to Level 2 with Martha Peterson of Essential Somatics. Most recently Tina has been deepening her practice in classical Tantra Yoga, primarily with Christopher Wallis, but also with Kavitha Chinnaiyan and others. Tina has a long interest in Indian philosophy and is well versed in the philosophy and history of yoga.
Tina sees her gift as a yoga teacher as being a spiritual guide, aiding her students to connect with their innermost truth as whole and perfect.
Tina offers classes, workshops and private sessions in hatha yoga, somatics and meditation, especially iRest dyad work.
Tina is a Yoga Australia Registered Senior teacher and a Registered Mentor, a Certified iRest® teacher and a registered member of Meditation Australia.
