From a young age Zoe lived amongst Tibetan Buddhism, and has been fortunate to receive direct transmission and teachings from some of the most senior teachers of several lineages, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama; this is something that permeates her personally and that she takes directly into her own teaching. She came to yoga through dance in her teenage years, continuing her yoga practice through university and the completion of her PhD in 2008.

Zoe has been mentored in the APMA (Pilates) technique while managing MLPStudio in the Adelaide CBD. In 2011 Zoe completed the inaugural Australian teacher training in AntiGravity® Fitness with its founder and inventor, Christopher Harrison. Zoe was the first fully qualified Aerial Yoga instructor in Adelaide (2011) and also one of the original Yin Yoga teachers (2014) before the modality was taught widely in South Australia. In the spirit of community and wellbeing, Zoe has been an active ambassador for key events in South Australia that promote yoga. These include Nourish Festival, Lululemon In-store yoga events and community festivals, the Wanderlust108 circuit and Adelaide’s internationally acclaimed WOMADelaide, to name a few.

Zoe is the Founder and Owner of The Yoga Centre in Adelaide's CBD

what people are saying about Zoe Zephyr Marr

Julie, Pole Dancer & Business Owner

"I have been doing Aerial Yoga with Zoe for just over 6 years. I have tried various forms of yoga but have always enjoyed Zoe's classes and seen obvious benefits to my overall strength and flexibility. I tend to have kyphosis of the spine between my shoulders and Aerial Yoga classes has given me more movement and has eased the pain in this area. My hip flexibility has had a marked improvement, whereas I thought I had reached my limit in that area, I am now easing into split stretches without the pain and stress on muscles. Zoe has a professional and lovely approach and within the classes you receive the proper care and attention to get your best out of all the moves, plus the relaxation in the hammock at the completion of class is fantastic!"

Mollie, Student

"Zoe is a brilliant, helpful and understanding teacher. She makes you feel so comfortable! I have certainly found a great passion for this. I look forward to every class! 100% recommend trying her classes!"

Kate, Yoga Instructor

"I first commenced classes with Zoe in 2012, she has always made me feel comfortable and safe. Zoe's classes are fun, supportive and explorative; her extensive anatomical knowledge has been amazing during times or injuries and after I had my babies. I love the way we explore the physical aspects of the practice but she seamlessly weaves in other aspects drawn on from philosophies in a gentle and approachable way."

Alicia, Business Owner & Aerial L1 Instructor

"I began taking aerial classes with Zoe in 2014. Because of her extensive knowledge and experience I felt extremely supported, but also consistently challenged to learn and explore new things. Her ability to explain movement and understand individual bodies makes her classes fun and unique. I enjoyed her classes so much, I attended at least 2 to 3 times a week. Zoe nurtured my love of all things aerial and inspired me to take teacher training and become an aerial teacher."
