I have been practicing yoga in various forms for more than 30 years.
When I moved from Melbourne to country Victoria the thing I missed the most was attending yoga classes. The closest class was 40 kims away. I decided to do my teacher training to enhance my own home practice and to be able to bring the benefits of yoga to the people in my local community.
I have been teaching yoga since May 2010. Many people who come along to a class have never tried yoga before while others have been practicing for a number of years.
I therefore structure classes so that they are suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners. Yoga is an individual journey, there's no competition. It's about developing awareness about what feels good and appropriate for your body while meeting challenges in a relaxed and mindful way.
I offer three 90 minute classes a week. Two in Neerim South and one in Noojee. I also offer one on one sessions for those who are new to yoga or are carrying injuries, to first learn some basics or find suitable modifications before joining general classes.
I love yoga and the fact that it is now available people locally. It not only makes you feel great but it also engenders a real sense of community.
