Hi, I am Liz. I teach yoga with a classical approach, following in the tradition of T. Krishnamacharya, with gentle, mindful and breath-focused practices, in a non-competitive and friendly environment. Working with small groups and individuals gives me the opportunity to help each student get the most out of their practice. I guide you through flowing movements and postures, along with breathing techniques and relaxation, to help calm the mind, build strength, increase flexibility and improve overall wellbeing.

I first started taking yoga classes twenty five years ago to ease chronic back pain. I continued to practice yoga to improve my general fitness whilst I was working in the beauty and wellness industry as a spa and remedial massage therapist and then later as a college educator. Over the years, my passion of teaching anatomy and physiology and the inner workings of the body, led me to broaden my interest in the history and philosophy of yoga and a love of teaching it to others. I completed the Diploma of Yoga Studies & Teacher Training at the Yoga Institute in 2016. I now enjoy offering small group classes and courses and working with individual clients. I also run more specifically tailored courses for people with injuries and illness, seniors and children. I am continuing my professional development studying towards a Graduate Certificate of Yoga Therapy.

After my diagnosis with Osteoporosis ten years ago, I have developed a particular interest in Yoga for Osteoporosis. My personal practice is helping me to keep my body strong, improve my balance and work with bone strengthening movement and poses.

Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, fitness, flexibility or previous experience, and I look forward to sharing my passion for Yoga with you!
