Suttabuut Yoga was created when Parada Chantananont (Ying) made Kensington in Melbourne her home more than 10 years ago. Ying has been teaching yoga for more than 18 years. She was trained in the East by her teacher Suthee Panthong, one of the Thai Yoga masters who studied extensively in India. Suttabuut teaches a style of Yoga from Thailand that will increase your well-being by using the breath to achieve strength and flexibility and to carry you through a choreography of poses. It derives from a number of styles including: Iyengar, Vinyasa, Sivanandha and Ashtanga and is suitable for beginners and the more advanced students.
Yoga classes in Kensington are run at the beautifully renovated Kensington Town Hall in Bellair Street on the boundary of Kensington and Flemington. The Yoga studio looks over wind swept peppercorn trees in the adjacent park. The studio is bright, carpeted, air conditioned in summer and heated in winter. The studio is easily accessible from surrounding suburbs including Flemington, Ascot Vale, Footscray, Yarraville and North Melbourne.
